For First Responders

The Problem
First Responders Face daily

There are roughly 1.5 million career first responders in the United States—about 824,000 police and detectives, 355,000 career firefighters, and 284,000 EMTs and paramedics—plus more than 600,000 volunteer firefighters, bringing the broader first-responder workforce to well over 2 million. A large share of that workforce is repeatedly exposed to traumatic incidents; lifetime PTSD estimates commonly fall in the 7–19% range for police, 7–37% for firefighters, and 9–22% for EMS, versus about 6–8% in the general population.

TVT’s 1-Day Race Camp SuperSeries Program.

The Veterans Trust, in partnership with Nova Southeastern University, officially launched the Race Camp SuperSeries—a one-day program developed exclusively for the first responder community. Designed in recognition of the intense demands faced by law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical services (EMS) personnel, the SuperSeries helps participants strengthen stress inoculation and build lasting mental resilience.

The Veterans Trust partners with the Center for Research and Training at Nova Southeastern University to deliver this innovative program, with proven clinical results.

What is Race Camp?

The Veterans Trust’s Race Camp is a science-backed, clinically grounded program for veterans, first responders, and active-duty members, developed and validated through a formal research partnership by Nova Southeastern University.

The program uses motorsports as a high-pressure proving ground to rebuild self-regulation skills and teach psychological skills using biofeedback data in conditions that replicate the intensity of service.

For those who have struggled to engage with or complete other programs, Race Camp offers a different entry point - one that doesn't treat them like patients, but like teammates.

The Veterans Trust’s Race Camp is not a racing school. It is a clinically grounded program that is rooted in a language they already understand: performance under pressure, mastery, and people who hold the standard.

Following completion of the Race Camp protocol, some participants will have the opportunity to participate as drivers in curated race events, including at The Veterans Trust Cup at the Concours Club.
